CNMC is a 220-bed primary referral institution for infants and children for the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland and Virginia metropolitan areas. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. CNMC provides care to 11,000 inpatients and 300,000 outpatients annually.
