The combined Duke-University of North Carolina PPRU involves two large pediatric teaching programs located 12 miles apart, and the UNC School of Pharmacy. These two programs provide regional care for patients throughout North Carolina and neighboring states. Combined the facilities have 280 pediatric inpatient beds and admitted 13,183 children. They provided care for approximately 260,000 outpatient visits.
