Performance
The PPRU Network sites are conducting clinical studies in a wide array of therapeutic areas. In addition to the many studies involving anti-infectives, including antivirals, antibiotics, antifungals, and antiinflammatory drugs, studies are being conducted on gastrointestinal, analgesic, anti-diabetic, and antihypertensive drugs. Studies of hormones and hormone antagonists are underway, and new studies on psychiatric interventions are being initiated.
PPRU Network studies are being conducted across all age groups. Because of the unique experience and qualifications of our investigators, 41% of the studies being conducted in the PPRU involve children under two years of age. In addition, several neonatal studies are in the process of being brought to the Network.
