The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is the pediatric teaching facility of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. It is a major primary care provider for south and west Philadelphia and a tertiary referral center for the greater Delaware Valley. CHOP provides care for 16,000 inpatients and 190,000 outpatient visits annually.
